Petalo Rosa — five tiers of blush pink glass on a gold frame. Each petal is a long curved blade of hand-blown Murano glass, clear pink at the edges and clouding to a soft white through the centre, with the lip turning outward where it was shaped while molten. They hang in overlapping rings, widest at the crown and drawing inward as they descend, so the fixture opens like a flower seen from beneath.

At 37.4 inches across this is the widest chandelier in the range, and it is deliberately shallow — only 23.6 inches tall. That proportion is what makes it work over a dining table in a room with normal ceilings: it spreads to fill the space above the table without dropping into the sightlines of the people sitting at it.

What you are buying

• Hand-blown Murano glass. Every petal is individually blown and shaped, so the curve, the thickness, and the depth of pink differ from one to the next. No two chandeliers assemble identically.
• Colour in the glass. The pink runs through the material and softens to white at the core. It cannot fade, chip, or wear off, and it deepens where the glass thickens.
• Gold frame. Warm metal behind pink glass — visible in glimpses between the petals and at the crown, and the reason the fixture reads as warm rather than cold.

This chandelier weighs 66 kg / 145.5 lb. That is roughly the weight of an adult, suspended from a single point in your ceiling. It requires a mounting plate or box rated for that load and fixed directly to structural framing, or a purpose-built brace installed for the purpose. A standard ceiling junction box will not carry it, and neither will most fan-rated boxes.

Have a licensed electrician inspect and confirm the ceiling structure before you place the order, not after a 145 lb crate arrives. Plan on three people for the installation, hang the frame before fitting any glass, and allow time — this is a half-day job, not an afternoon swap.

The supplied chain is 11.8 inches. For a dining room you will want a longer drop; contact us with your ceiling height and we will supply the chain to match.

Where it belongs

Over a dining table of 66 inches or more, with the lowest petals 30 to 34 inches above the tabletop. In a large entry or a formal living room with the floor area to justify a fixture nearly a metre wide. Give it a plain ceiling: pink glass at this scale is the strongest element in any room, and it should not compete with a patterned surface behind it. It suits rooms with white, cream, pale grey, or deep green walls particularly well.

What bulbs does it take?

Sixteen E12 or E14 small screw-base bulbs, LED or Edison filament. E12 is the candelabra base widely stocked in the United States; E14 is its European equivalent, and this fixture accepts either. Choose 2700K warm white — cool white drains the warmth from pink glass and makes it look washed out.

Is the pink painted onto the glass?

No. The colour is in the hand-blown glass itself, softening to white through the core of each petal. It cannot fade, chip, or peel, and its depth changes with the thickness of the glass.

Is every petal the same?

No, and that is the nature of hand-blown glass. The curve, the thickness, and the exact depth of pink vary from petal to petal, which is what gives the assembled chandelier its movement. Your fixture will not be an exact match for the photograph.

Is it dimmable?

It runs on a standard wall switch and has no built-in dimming, so it depends on the bulbs. Dimmable LED or filament bulbs on a compatible wall dimmer will dim — and with sixteen bulbs behind pink glass, dimming is well worth doing.

Will it fit a room with a normal ceiling?

Its 23.6-inch height is shallow for a fixture this wide, which helps — but it is 37.4 inches across, so it needs floor area rather than ceiling height. Over a dining table on a standard eight-foot ceiling it works; in a narrow room or a hallway it will overwhelm.

How long is the chain?

How do I clean it?

Dust each petal with a soft dry cloth, supporting it as you work — the petals hang on hooks and will swing. Never spray cleaner onto the fixture; dampen the cloth instead if more than dusting is needed.

Yes. It accepts AC 110-240 V and carries certification compatible with North America, Europe, Australia, and Saudi Arabia, so it runs on either a 120 V or a 220-240 V supply.

Can it be used in a bathroom or outdoors?
