Where it belongs
This is a vertical fixture and it needs vertical space. It is at its best in a stairwell, hung so the tiers are read from the landing above as well as the hall below; in a double-height entry, where 42 inches of glass fills the volume that a wide chandelier cannot; or over a round dining table in a room with tall ceilings, where its narrow footprint clears sightlines across the table.
On a standard eight-foot ceiling it will hang low enough to walk into — it is not a fixture for an ordinary hallway or a flat-ceilinged living room. Measure the full drop including the suspension before ordering, and tell us your ceiling height so we can set the suspension correctly.

Is the texture etched onto the glass?
No. The ribbed pattern is formed into the glass itself, which is why each frond has visible depth and refracts light into sharp points rather than reflecting it flatly.
Is this crystal?
It is clear textured glass rather than cut lead crystal. The optical effect is comparable — the deep ribbing breaks light into bright points — but the character is softer and more organic than faceted crystal, and the fronds are formed rather than cut.
Is it dimmable?
It runs on a common wall switch and has no built-in dimming, so it depends on the bulbs. Dimmable LED or filament bulbs on a compatible wall dimmer will dim, and with thirteen lamps in clear glass it is well worth doing.
What does it need to hang from?

How do I clean it?
