Lava — a molten-looking mass of crystal glass, resting on a disc of solid brass. The glass seems to have been caught mid-flow: thick, rounded and rippled, with tiny air bubbles suspended inside it. Behind it, a brushed brass disc catches the light and frames the glass like a small sun.
Lit, a single point of warm light sits at the heart of the glass, and every ripple and bubble bends it into liquid highlights across the surface. Off, it is a heavy, tactile object that looks more like a piece of studio glass than a light fixture. Small enough for a bedside, striking enough to stop guests in a hallway.
Why it is worth the wall
-
Sculptural crystal glass. The thick, uneven form and suspended bubbles mean no two pieces catch the light the same way.
-
Solid brass disc. A brushed brass backplate adds warmth and reflects a soft glow back around the glass.
-
Three glass colors. Clear, deep Blue or Amber Brown, each with its own character (see below).
-
Jewel-like scale. At 7.1" across and 4.7" from the wall, it fits beside a bed, in an entry or along a corridor, where it reads as a piece of jewelry for the wall.
-
Warm 3000K LED, included. A 3W source that gives a soft, atmospheric glow. Ready to install.
Choose your glass
| Clear |
Water-clear glass with visible bubbles. The brightest of the three, and the easiest to place in any room. |
| Blue |
Deep midnight blue that looks almost black when off, then reveals electric blue highlights when lit. Beautiful on white or navy walls. |
| Amber Brown |
Dark and smoky by day, glowing with ember-like amber when lit. The warmest choice, for wood, leather and dark paint. |
Where it belongs
Hang a pair either side of a bed, one on each side of an entry mirror, or a series along a corridor, where repeated points of light make a quiet rhythm. Because each is small, they also look striking as a staggered cluster on a feature wall, and mixing the three colors works well.

A note on the glass: the rippled shape, bubbles and depth of color are part of how this glass is formed, so they vary from piece to piece and from the photographs. They are a feature of the material, not a flaw.
Frequently asked questions
Are the bubbles and ripples meant to be there?
Yes. They are what gives Lava its molten look, and they are what bend and scatter the light.
How bright is it?
At 3W, Lava is an accent light: a warm, glowing point rather than a room light. It is ideal for evening atmosphere beside a bed or along a hallway, and works best alongside a ceiling light or lamp when you need more light to see by.
Which color should I choose?
Clear gives the most light and suits any room. Blue and Amber Brown look dark when off and more dramatic when lit, so they work best where you will see them in the evening.
How high should I mount it?
Beside a bed, about 50–60 inches from the floor. In an entry or hallway, about 60–66 inches, spacing a run about 5–6 feet apart.
Do I need to buy bulbs?
No. The LED is included.
How do I clean it?
With the light off and cool, wipe the glass with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry it. Dust the brass with a dry cloth, avoiding abrasive cleaners and metal polish.
