Stone beads threaded on a line. Spheres of natural alabaster stack one on top of the next along a slim metal stem, finishing in a small ball at the base. Only 3.9 inches wide at any point — this is a vertical line of light, not a shade.
Alabaster is translucent, so the light does not sit on the surface of each bead; it travels through the stone, picking up the veining as it goes. Lit, the beads glow from the inside like backlit marble. Unlit, they read as pale polished stone. Every sphere is cut from natural material, so the grain, the cloudiness, and the warm and pale zones differ in every bead and in every fixture.
Why this one works where others do not
-
Genuine alabaster, not resin. A real translucent stone with its own veining, lit from within. No two beads match, and no two fixtures are identical.
-
Very narrow. At 3.9 inches across it fits where a conventional pendant will not — flanking a bed, beside a mirror, in a tight stairwell, or in a row down a narrow island.
-
Length is the variable. Choose 3, 4, 5, or 8 beads to suit the drop your room needs, from 14.6 to 30.3 inches of fixture.
-
Three finishes. The stem, canopy, and end ball come in brass or black, so the metal either warms the stone or disappears against it.
Four lengths
-
3 lights — Ø 3.9" x H 14.6" (Dia 10 x H 37 cm). The short drop. Bedside, or a row over a narrow island.
-
4 lights — Ø 3.9" x H 17.7" (Dia 10 x H 45 cm). The balanced size for most rooms.
-
5 lights — Ø 3.9" x H 20.9" (Dia 10 x H 53 cm). A longer vertical line, good beside a tall mirror.
-
8 lights — Ø 3.9" x H 30.3" (Dia 10 x H 77 cm). Two and a half feet of stacked stone — for stairwells, double-height rooms, and entries.

Choosing a length
The fixture hangs below the cord, so add its height to your desired drop. Beside a bed, the 3-light at 14.6 inches usually sits right with the lowest bead near the height of a nightstand lamp. Over a kitchen island, run two or three 3-light or 4-light fixtures spaced 24 to 30 inches apart, with the bottom bead 30 to 36 inches above the counter. The 5-light suits a tall mirror or a console. The 8-light at 30.3 inches is a stairwell and double-height fixture — on a standard eight-foot ceiling it will hang low enough to walk into, so measure carefully before choosing it.
Frequently asked questions
What sizes and prices are available?
Four lengths, all 3.9 inches wide. The 3-light at 14.6 inches is $550, the 4-light at 17.7 inches is $660, the 5-light at 20.9 inches is $720, and the 8-light at 30.3 inches is $890.
Is the alabaster real stone?
Yes. Each bead is natural alabaster, a translucent stone that carries light through its own veining. Because it is a natural material, the color, cloudiness, and grain vary from bead to bead and from fixture to fixture. That variation is the material, not a flaw.
What does "3 lights" or "8 lights" mean?
It is the number of alabaster beads on the stem, and therefore how long the fixture is. More beads means a longer vertical drop, not a wider fixture — every length is 3.9 inches across.
What finishes are available?
Brass, White Alabaster, and Black. The alabaster beads are white on all of them; the finish refers to the stem, canopy, and end ball.
What bulb does it take?
A standard E26 (North America) or E27 (Europe) screw-base bulb, not included. Choose 2700K warm white — alabaster's natural warmth disappears under cool white light.
Is it dimmable?
The fixture runs on a common wall switch and has no built-in dimming, so it depends on the bulb. A dimmable LED on a compatible wall dimmer will dim, and it is worth doing — at low levels the veining in the stone becomes far more visible.
Can I hang several side by side?
Yes. Because the fixture is only 3.9 inches wide, a row of two or three over an island or a pair flanking a bed works well. Space them 24 to 30 inches apart on centre. Each needs its own ceiling outlet unless mounted from a shared linear canopy.
How long is the cord?
150 cm / 59 inches, which suits standard 8 to 10 foot ceilings and can be shortened at installation. Longer cord is available on request for stairwells and double-height rooms — contact us before ordering.
How do I clean alabaster?
Dust with a dry soft cloth only. Never use water, vinegar, or household cleaners — alabaster is porous and acid-sensitive, and liquid cleaners will leave permanent marks.
Can it be used in a bathroom or outdoors?
No. It is rated for indoor use only. Alabaster is a porous natural stone that stains and degrades in damp conditions, so keep it away from bathrooms and any outdoor or covered exterior location.
Will it work outside the United States?
Yes. It accepts AC 110-240 V and carries certification compatible with North America, Europe, Saudi Arabia, and Australia. Use an E26 bulb on 110-120 V supply and an E27 bulb on 220-240 V.
