Strata — a tall panel of Spanish alabaster, framed in five stepped bands of antique bronze. Each band sits a little inside and a little forward of the one behind it, so the frame reads like ripples moving out from the stone, or the stepped proscenium of an old Art Deco theater. At nearly 30 inches tall, it is a wall light with the presence of a piece of architecture.
Off, the center is a slab of pale, clouded stone held in warm metal — quiet enough to read as a framed artwork on the wall. On, the alabaster glows from within and its veining surfaces in soft drifts of cream and honey, while light catches the edge of every bronze step around it.

A note on natural stone: alabaster is a natural material. Veining, colour and translucency vary from panel to panel, and yours will differ from the photographs. If you would like a lighter or more heavily veined panel, or several matched for one wall, contact us before ordering and we will do our best to match your preference.
Frequently asked questions
Is the panel real alabaster?
Yes. It is solid Spanish snowflake alabaster, a natural stone named for its fine, flake-like veining. The pattern becomes visible when light passes through it.
Is it bright enough to light a hallway?
Yes. The 19.5W LED is a high-output source, so Strata works as genuine corridor and stair lighting, not only as an accent. For a long hallway, space several 6–8 feet apart.
How high should I mount it?
Because it is tall, mount it so the center of the fixture sits about 60–66 inches from the floor, putting the top at roughly 75–80 inches. On a stair, follow the line of the stairs, keeping each one the same height above its step.
What does 3000K mean?
3000K is a warm white, similar to a classic incandescent bulb but slightly crisper. It suits living spaces and brings out the honey tones in the alabaster.
Do I need to buy bulbs?
No. The LED is integrated and included.
How do I care for it?
Dust the stone and frame with a soft, dry cloth. Alabaster is a soft, porous stone, so avoid water, sprays and chemical cleaners on the panel and on the brushed finish.
